The Conscientious Objector is a community-created melee weapon for all classes with the exception of the Engineer and the Spy. It is a broken down wooden sign which has been ripped from the ground. The frame of the sign sits at a slightly crooked angle, with several bloodstains and a variety of old nails studding its surface. A worn sheet of paper bearing an image of the Team Fortress 2 logo is nailed to the front of the sign. This logo can be replaced with another image via the Decal Tool.

It is a slightly weathered railroad crossing sign with glowing team-colored lights. It appears to have been uprooted violently from its base, as a pair of wires are seen sticking out of the bottom end.
