Fans are developing a remake of Team Fortress 2
A group of enthusiasts is undertaking the task of porting the team shooter Team Fortress 2 to the Source 2 engine, utilizing the Sandbox platform for this project. Currently, they are migrating all textures, weapon models, and the Well map from Arena mode. The team has also launched a dedicated website to provide updates on their progress. On the site, you can find several screenshots and short gameplay videos featuring five classes: Soldier, Pyro, Scout, Demoman, and Sniper.
“This project is a huge undertaking, we will have to take into account all the minutiae of TF2 gameplay, try to rebuild every mechanic to make it look similar to the base game. But I still believe that with enough commitment we can get it right,” says one of the modders.
The team has not yet announced a public release of the game. They have stated that a substantial amount of work remains to be done before the project reaches its final form.
Enthusiasts aim to completely recreate Team Fortress 2 with enhanced graphics. The game will incorporate new technologies, including physics-based rendering.
How to use skins
You must have a Steam account and link it to a store account. The skins you purchased will automatically be added to your Team Fortress 2 inventory. As soon as this happens, you can use them in the game, customizing your characters.
